“You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near to me, you and your children, your children’s children, your flocks and your herds, and all that you have. There I will provide for you, lest you and your household, and all that you have, come to poverty; for there are still five years of famine.”
Genesis 45:10–11
To get rid of the hard sun or the rain we run to a shade of a tree. It comforts us. So in the scripture Joseph invites his brother and all belongings to be near him and he promises he will shelter them over the famine. This reflects the love of Jesus who is almighty God.
Jesus call us today “my beloved sons and daughters, be under my shelter as you are. I will protect you from the famine.” I am having two little kids whom I feel very special among thousands of very talented, good looking, obedient kids.
They may express their love on me more than my kids do. But still I feel my ones very special. Because they are mine. The scripture bring out a sense of belongingness from its beginning to end. So we are chosen ones. So blessed ones. Let’s finish our run by looking at overwhelming faithfulness of God not bothering about threats around us.
