My sweet Jesus

Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death and broke their chains into pieces.

Psalm 107:13–14

Dear friends, in this journey of life how many times we have experienced tears, bitterness, fears, and condemnations. Sometimes the cause for these bad emotions may be people you resist or people you love very much. Sometimes in this journey, we face the bitterness of judgments. Some judge us according to our own deeds sometimes we have the ability to change slightly or .completely. But some judgments are hard to bear and also still we can’t make a change in the situations. Because these are coming on us due to our appearance, due to our family background, due to the way we have adapted over years and now hard to make a change. Sometimes may be due to our failures.   In some situations, people make these judgments because they really love us and they want to make a change in us. But still, it is irritating. I remember a poem I learned in my childhood “The Scarecrow”. This scarecrow is telling me I don’t want to scare these birds, I want them to come to me. But they always fly away and I can’t help the way I look.  We are also the same as scarecrows. We want to change. But still, we can’t. We are making decisions but still, we can’t change. This is a very hard experience. Judgments of others lead self condemnations. This is a very bitter experience. This is not the fault of you or the other people around. This is a result of what the first Adam did in the Garden of Eden. The earth produces bitterness, stress, pains and tears.

But Jesus, The second Adam came to the world to break your chains to pieces, solve your distresses and take you out from death. His calling is for everyone and has no standards. He healed people with no conditions. He chooses his disciples without checking qualifications. He accepts us as we are. His love is unconditional. He broke all human barriers of standards. Jesus dined with people who are black labelled by society. When they experienced the love of Jesus they changed. There are people who went back to their former ways although they have first experienced Jesus and changed. But Jesus had no judgment over them. We learn how Jesus seeks his disciples after the resurrection.  My friends the highest standard have no standards on you. The highest authority has no judgment over you. How sweet our Jesus is? His love is very sweet. When we are cooking we put sweetener to the desired level to reduce other tastes in the dish. As well Jesus can make our lives very sweet by overcoming worldly bitterness.
